Effective date: 16 October 2026 · Last updated: October 9, 2026

Draft notice. Items shown as [highlighted text] are still being confirmed by SCS and are not yet final.

Only necessary cookies run on the SCS website until you choose otherwise; every other cookie needs your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. This policy follows section 26 of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 ("NDP Act") and Article 19 of the NDP Act General Application and Implementation Directive 2025 ("GAID"), and forms part of our Privacy Notice.

1. Who is responsible

Stephen Corporate Services (SCS) Ltd ("SCS", "we", "us"), SD20 Benhen Estate, Karsana, FCT, Abuja, Nigeria, is the organisation responsible for the cookies set by our website and client portals. You can reach our Data Protection Officer at info@stephencorporateservices-scs.com.

2. What cookies and similar tools are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your phone, tablet or computer. They let the site recognise your device, remember choices and measure how it is used. Under Article 19(8) of the GAID, similar tracking tools such as pixels, local storage, device fingerprinting and tracking scripts follow the same rules, so in this policy "cookies" includes them.

  • A cookie banner appears the first time you visit, at the front of the page. You do not have to scroll to see it, and it names SCS as the responsible organisation.
  • It offers equal, clear Accept and Reject buttons and a Manage preferences option to choose by category. Nothing is pre-ticked, and closing the banner or continuing to browse is not treated as consent to non-essential cookies.
  • It explains each cookie's purpose in plain language and how to withdraw consent.
  • We keep a record of your choice (the scs_cookie_consent cookie) as evidence of consent.

6. Third parties and transfers abroad

Some cookies are set by providers we use, such as analytics, security, hosting or embedded video services. They set their own cookies and we do not control them, so please read their policies. Where a provider processes data outside Nigeria, for example Google, we rely on the transfer grounds in sections 41 to 43 of the NDP Act, including your consent for analytics and marketing cookies. We do not use tracking tools to sell personal data.

On our site. Select Cookie settings in the website footer at any time to change categories or withdraw consent. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent (section 35 of the NDP Act) and does not affect earlier lawful use. After you withdraw we stop the cookies and delete those we can.

In your browser. You can view, block or delete cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear cookies when you close the browser:

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop our secure client portals from working.

8. Your rights and complaints

You have the rights described in our Privacy Notice, including access, correction, erasure, objection and withdrawal of consent. Contact the DPO at info@stephencorporateservices-scs.com. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at info@ndpc.gov.ng or ndpc.gov.ng, or seek redress in court.

9. Updates

We will update this policy when our cookies, technology or the law change, and show the new date at the top. If we add a new category of non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent again before using it.
